Here at Wild Horse Alliance of Northern Nevada, we are driven by a single goal; to preserve and protect our iconic wild horses for future generations. These wild horses are part of our Western Heritage. We strive to build productive relationships between the Alliance groups and unite our members in working toward this goal.

The Historic Virginia Range Mustang
License Plates Renewals are Available!
The Nevada Virginia Range Mustangs Special License Plate is no longer on sale but renewals are still available through the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)!

The proceeds received from renewing your plates directly benefit the Virginia Range wild horses in a variety of ways including fencing, fertility control, hay for the rescued horses and diversionary feed for the wild ones (when needed and approved), rangeland rehabilitation, orphan foal rescue, public education campaign, rescued horse training program, etc.

Take A Walk on the Wild Side
Nevada is home to over half of our Nation's wild horses. Northern Nevada is unique in that we are home to wild horses managed on public lands by the Bureau of Land Management, and on both State owned and private property by the Nevada Department of Agriculture.
